Terms & Conditions — Urcar
1. Introduction
Welcome to Urcar, a marketplace connecting verified suppliers of car parts and accessories with buyers across South Africa. By using our platform, you agree to these Terms & Conditions, which are subject to revision at any time.
2. Supplier Onboarding
Free onboarding and verification for a limited promotional period.
Suppliers must provide accurate information and proof of ownership for listed parts.
3. Fees & Commission
Urcar charges:
1. Under R10,000: 10%
2. R10,001-R50,000: 5%
3. Above R50,000: 2%
commission on each successful sale.
This commission is included in the buyer’s upfront payment into escrow.
4. Payment Terms
The full purchase amount is payable by the buyer into Urcar’s escrow account at the time of order placement.
Upon confirmed delivery, the balance of the purchase price is released to the supplier.
If the part is not delivered, the buyer’s payment is refundable in full.
Supplier payouts are processed within a reasonable period (7–14 business days) after delivery confirmation.
5. Delivery
The supplier is responsible for arranging delivery of purchased parts.
All prices listed on Urcar are exclusive of delivery costs.
6. Returns
Buyers may return parts within 7 days of delivery.
Delivery costs for returned parts are payable by the buyer.
Refunds for returned parts will be processed once the supplier confirms receipt.
7. Communication
All buyer–supplier communication must be conducted through the Urcar platform.
Direct contact outside the platform is prohibited to ensure safety and transparency.
8. Warranties & Liability
Suppliers must clearly state warranty terms (if applicable).
Urcar acts as an intermediary and does not own listed parts.
Buyers are responsible for confirming compatibility before purchase.
Privacy Policy — Urcar
1. Information Collection
We collect user details (name, contact, vehicle info) for account creation and transaction processing.
Supplier verification requires ID and business registration documents.
2. Use of Information
Data is used to facilitate transactions, verify suppliers, and improve marketplace services.
Buyer and supplier contact details are shared only through the platform after a confirmed order.
3. Data Protection
All personal data is stored securely and encrypted.
Urcar does not sell or share user data with third parties outside the marketplace ecosystem.
4. Payments & Escrow
Buyer payments are securely stored in escrow until delivery confirmation.
Supplier payouts are processed within 7–14 business days after successful delivery.
Refunds are handled in compliance with South African consumer protection laws.
5. User Rights
Users may request deletion of their data at any time.
Verified suppliers may update or correct their business information.
SUPPLIER AGREEMENT
Effective Date: 17 October 2026 Between: Urcar Parts (Pty) Ltd (“Marketplace”) And: (“Supplier”)
This Agreement governs the relationship between Urcar Parts (Pty) Ltd and the Supplier for the listing, sale, and delivery of car parts and accessories via the Urcar marketplace.
2. Supplier Obligations
The Supplier agrees to:
Provide accurate descriptions and lawful ownership of all listed parts.
Arrange delivery of purchased parts to buyers.
Honor warranties and accept returns in line with this Agreement.
Conduct all communication with buyers exclusively through the Urcar platform.
3. Marketplace Responsibilities
Urcar Parts (Pty) Ltd will:
Provide a secure platform for listing and selling parts.
Facilitate escrow payments and manage deposits.
Verify suppliers during onboarding.
Ensure communication is handled through the platform.
4. Payment Terms
The full purchase price is payable by the buyer into Urcar’s escrow account at the time of order.
Upon confirmed delivery, the balance of the purchase price will be released to the Supplier.
Urcar retains the commission on each successful sale.
Commission:
- Under R10,000: 10%
- R10,001-R50,000: 5%
- Above R50,000: 2%
Supplier payouts will be processed within 7–14 business days after delivery confirmation.
If the part is not delivered, the buyer’s payment is refundable in full.

7. Warranties & Representations
The Supplier warrants that:
They are the legal owner of listed parts or authorized to sell them.
All descriptions are accurate and not misleading.
No part violates any law or regulation.
Warranty terms (if applicable) are clearly stated in each listing.
8. Confidentiality
Both parties agree to keep confidential all proprietary information received under this Agreement.
9. Limitation of Liability
Urcar Parts (Pty) Ltd shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Total liability is limited to the commission earned on the disputed transaction.
10. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes will be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction.
11. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements. Any changes must be in writing and signed by both parties.
USER AGREEMENT
Effective Date: 17 October 2026
Between: Urcar Parts (Pty) Ltd (“Marketplace”)
And: [User/Buyer] (“User”)
1. Purpose
This Agreement governs the use of the Urcar Parts (Pty) Ltd marketplace by buyers seeking to purchase car parts and accessories from verified suppliers.
2. User Obligations
The User agrees to:
Provide accurate information when registering and placing orders.
Pay the full purchase price into Urcar’s escrow account at the time of order.
Confirm compatibility of parts before purchase.
Conduct all communication with suppliers exclusively through the Urcar platform.
3. Payment Terms
The full purchase price is payable upfront into Urcar’s escrow account.
The Supplier will be paid its fee after confirmation of delevery.
If the part is not delivered, the User’s payment is refundable in full.
Refunds will be processed within 7–14 business days.
4. Delivery
The supplier is responsible for arranging delivery of purchased parts.
All prices listed on Urcar are exclusive of delivery costs.
Delivery charges must be paid by the User directly to the supplier or courier.
5. Returns
Users may return parts within 7 days of delivery.
Delivery costs for returned parts are payable by the User.
Refunds for returned parts will be processed once the supplier confirms receipt.
6. Communication

Direct contact outside the platform is prohibited to ensure safety and transparency.

10. Revision Clause
These Terms are subject to revision. Urcar Parts (Pty) Ltd reserves the right to amend this Agreement at any time, with updated terms published on the platform. Continued use of the marketplace constitutes acceptance of revised terms.
